Re: Linux job market in Japan



If you have any of the skills below, then you will have no trouble finding a
head hunter with relevant positions. Or even better, you can find the companies
directly, and bypass the head hunters completely.

I realize that the candidates do no pay for the head hunting fee directly, but
that fee still represents a cost to the business. I found that avoiding the head
hunter improves your negotiating position, especially for signing bonuses.

With a little experience in Tokyo, you can easily find companies by yourself, or
 via a friend or via one of the networking organizations, such as TLUG. If you
are new to Tokyo, then perhaps a head hunter is the good alternative, in order
to "get your foot in the door."
