Is not having XKB going Marc> to cause me greif? XKB is a standard protocol for configuring the console keyboard driver. It makes configuration a lot more standard, but unfortunately the config files don't seem to be documented anywhere. They're pretty self-explanatory, see /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb (IIRC). There is also documentation in the X11 sources, but IIRC that only treats the internal protocol and API, and doesn't describe the configuration file system used by XFree86. I don't know why kterm wants to use it. -- Marc C. http://www.mecworks.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Next Technical Meeting: Sat, July 14 13:30- ** Akasaka Kumin Center ** Next Nomikai Meeting: Fri, Aug 10 19:30- Tengu Tokyo Eki-Mae ----------------------------------------------------------------------- more info: http://www.tlug.gr.jp Sponsor: Global Online Japan -- University of Tsukuba Tennodai 1-1-1 Tsukuba 305-8573 JAPAN Institute of Policy and Planning Sciences Tel/fax: +81 (298) 53-5091 _________________ _________________ _________________ _________________ What are those straight lines for?
