Yamaha RTA 50i with RedHat 7.0

This is the error message I get:

"Initialization Error"

The message flashes and disappears in an instance.  I check my connection 
status, and it displays "Disconnected."  When I try the "debug," though, it 
shows "Connected 64000" at the end.  I'm puzzled.......
