Ah, now, this doesn't make any sense at all. You said you were going to
be specific, but you haven't said *what* applications you're looking for.
Yes, there *isn't* a suite of applications for controlling nuclear
submarines available. You're posting to a bunch of people who most
likely use Linux as their sole operating system, and do all their work
and play on it. And *you*'re trying to tell *them* there's no
application support? 

This is a predictable response from me, but do you know about the GNOME
office suite? It's got a word processor, a spread sheet, a diagram
tool, a file manager, an email/news/contacts/diary thingy, and they're
all integrated with each other and the GNOME desktop - and all the other
GNOME products. KDE is the same. Do you know about StarOffice? Do you
know about ApplixWare?

I think that, fundamentally, what ever you mean here, it is incorrect.

Your confidence is misplaced. Who's the one scrabbling around on mailing
list looking for any hackers they can find?
