I've thought about trying to do something like this with edict.el.

But it's a hard problem deciding how much to return for each word if
you do whole buffers, and of course you'd have to be pretty smart
about parsing syntax.  So I've never gotten around to it.

edict.el really does need a (possibly user-assisted) way to guess the
Japanese word you want, though.
