Well, it's a pretty good assumption, as you saw when I was backtracking
earlier, but way less perfect than the assumptions about internal drives.

One of my fave uses for external drives is to be able to plug my "Linux
system" in to someone else's computer, boot from that, and use it for my
own neferious purposes, of course.
