Oh, about this point. BSDs have ports (which patch and compile things from
source) and packages (binaries). They are both supposed to take care of
dependencies, but all of these stuff are only as good as the person who
assembles them. There ARE broken dependencies in these stuff, too. I had
a lot of trouble before finding out that XEmacs needs gettext.

So don't be OVER confident...
