She says nobody ever told her you could write itohen left, middle,
right, and her kanji dictionary (例解漢字学習辞典 by 小学館) does have
the full stroke order for 組, writing itohen in the same order as ito
itself, middle, left, right.

So I guess this is like every other written rule in this country:
honored more in the breach than the observance.
