Not at all.  Eg, U+2009 is not hankaku, it's thinner than that.  That's
why nihonjin generally omit them.  Cf. TeX's \, in math mode.

I'm not sure which of the several spaces in the 2000 block of Unicode
corresponds to the proper spacing for embedded non-Japanese text, but
it's definitely not U+0020.
