I think it was an IBM Thinkpad. Of course, as they are in the business of promoting such a product, I assume their setup was not too shabby. I remember asking about the memory and CPU as the response time was fast (compared to my dinosaur notebook when I switch font sets in yudit). I don't remember the specs but I remember that it didn't strike me as anything terribly special (it wasn't a Cray, in disguise). Maybe Alberto can speak more sensibly about the technical side as he saw the same thing I did; I wouldn't know a java interpreter from an espresso maker. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Next Nomikai: December 17 (Fri), 19:00 Tengu TokyoEkiMae 03-3275-3691 Next Technical Meeting: January, 2000 * Topic: "glibc - current status and future developments" * Guest Speaker: Ulrich Drepper (Cygnus Solutions) * Place: Oracle Japan HQ 12F Seminar Room (New Otani Garden Court) ------------------------------------------------------------------- more info: http://www.tlug.gr.jp Sponsor: Global Online Japan
