> Does anyone know if there a command similar to "rdev" for Sparc Linux? Unfortunately, the sparc floppy boot code doesn't work in the same manner as that of the i386. You'd have to create a boot floppy with a disklabel, get the boot blocks right, yadda yadda yadda. IMHO the fastest way to do what you want is to grab the sparc rescue set from ftp://vger.rutgers.edu/pub/linux/Sparc/rescue/rescue-1.0.tgz, dd the images off to floppy, and boot from them ... they do pretty much what you want. -- Chris ------------------------------------------------------------------- Next Technical Meeting: October 9 (Sat), 13:30 place: Temple Univ. * Linux Internationalisation Initiative (Li18nux) speaker: Akio Kido * Japanese TrueType Fonts speaker: Adrian Havill Next Technical Meeting: November 13 (Sat), 13:30 place: Temple Univ. * Network Security speaker: Steve Baur Next Nomikai: December 17 (Fri), 19:00 Tengu TokyoEkiMae 03-3275-3691 ------------------------------------------------------------------- more info: http://www.tlug.gr.jp Sponsor: Global Online Japan
