A colleague of mine just got a new G3 PowerBook (dang, those things are big!) and wants to put Linux on it. I've never installed Linux on a Mac and don't know much about it at all. Anybody out there want to help? She was thinking of just FTPing it and installing, but the stuff I read on the linuxppc web site sounds like this is a lot more involved than it would be on an x86 machine. She doesn't have a CD right now. It also said that HFS+ is not supported. Would a brand new G3 PowerBook have HFS+ or HFS? She may be able to bring it to the meeting on Saturday. If you have a Mac Linux CD and can help, by all means bring it :-) Thanks!
