I also use ODN.  You can also login without authentication, although I also 
use pap authentication.   My script file (without authentication) is like this:

pppd /dev/ttyS1 115200 idle 600 defaultroute connect 'chat "" "atz" "OK" 
"atdp58158935" "CONNECT" ""  "login:" "yourloginname"  "Password:"  
"yourpassword"'
