I'd recommend a 10base2, 10baseT combo card.  
NE2000 compatible are cheap, and work easily,
although some hate their performance / architecture.
If you want a good one, 3com seems to be a favorite.
Check the mailing list archives for the last time
the discussion came up for the model(s).
