tlug: Erasing a partition

I was going to reinstall Linux (Redhat) - I seemed to have made lots of
mistakes when I installed before, made worse by my attempts to fix them,
and so starting again from scratch seems best.

How should I erase the partition, or will it happen automatically when I
install?
