I recently typed Ctrl-Alt-F2 during an X session, and "bikkuri!" I was taken to virtual terminal 2--in text mode. The problem was that I when I hit Alt-F1 I was brought to the text virtual terminal 1 where I had to hit Ctrl-C to stop the server and then startx again. I have two questions: 1) Is it XFree86 or fvwm2 that is making this switch? 2) Can I get back to my X session (already in progress)? Now, back to writing.
