There's one other installation method which nobody's mentioned, but
which would be cheap and not too terribly hard (or so they say):
PLIP (Parallel Line Interface Protocol?). You can connect two
computers via ordinary printer ports, and download the installation
packages using PLIP. The only catch is that you need a special cable
which is not sold in stores (at least not ordinary ones), but I think
it's just a matter of rewiring a standard printer cable. I believe
there's a HOWTO on PLIP at the LDP.
