tlug: webmastering

Hi all,

I have a general question about automating tasks on a web
server.

Say, for example, that I want to automatically rebuild a mailing
list archive every night. I can't do this from the webmaster
account because the permissions on the majordomo directory are
drwxr-x--x. I don't really want to do this as root either
because then you end up having to redo the permissions of the
resulting web pages (besides, I don't really trust myself writing
root crontabs.).

There must be a simple solution, but I can't think of it. Help?

Thanks,

Jim S.
