tlug: Kanji-able lyx?

Has there ever been any discussion of making a kanji-enabled version of
lyx?  It would be right at the top of my "most wanted" list.

I've never even written Japanese with LaTeX/TeX but I know it's done all
the time.  It would be *very* nice if lyx supported Japanese as well.

Anyone?
