Go to jail. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Blow off the Redhat contrib directory, _especially_ that RPM. )It's poison. The guy who built it was told not to do it the way he did and it's been nothing but trouble.) Otherwise you're going to have to just keep trying random variations on the libs that don't work. (Binary contribs should not be dynamically linked unless you commit to keeping them updated and maybe maintian backwards compatibility versions; there's no guarantee they'll work if the libs change.) Try the TL version. You need the TL-J version because Scott left out Mule in the US version. No promises on that one because of libc5/glibc confusion, unfortunately. It might work. ftp.pht.co.jp: /pub/turbolinuxj/2.0/TurboLinux/RPMS/xemacs-20.4-3TL.i386.rpm /pub/turbolinuxj/2.0/TurboLinux/RPMS/xemacs-el-20.4-3TL.i386.rpm /pub/turbolinuxj/2.0/TurboLinux/RPMS/xemacs-extras-20.4-3TL.i386.rpm You probably don't need the xemacs-el package (it's source for the emacs-lisp libraries). The extras you probably want, I believe it contains icons and sounds and stuff. -- University of Tsukuba Tennodai 1-1-1 Tsukuba 305-8573 JAPAN Institute of Policy and Planning Sciences Tel/fax: +81 (298) 53-5091 __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________ What are those two straight lines for?
