Yep. The best mode IMHO is not enabling sendmail as a daemon at
all. A desktop user doesn't need that anyway ( assuming most
users start out as desktop users, a sure bet ).

Better yet is providing qmail instead of sendmail. Qmail now
comes in the form of a binary distribution, too, and is a lot
more paranoid and safe than sendmail ( administation is a lot
easier, too - good for a beginner ).
