Ideally, a beginner won't ever have to admin sendmail at all. Distributions such as TL, RH, and I think Deb and Slack, too, install sendmail with reasonable defaults so that it works right out of the box for standard applications - sure, if you want your box to receive mail for a whole domain, relay, etc, you have to do some config work, but most people don't need to do those things. > > ================================================================ > "It was hell.
