Hi,

The August PC magazine had some interesting projections as
compiled by IDC:

WIN 9*        N/A          69.4%         65.0%
WIN NT        N/A           9.2%         26.2%
DOS         85.7%          10.0%          0.6%
MAC-OS       6.7%           4.6%          1.9%
UNUX         1.5%           1.0%          0.5%
Linux         N/A           2.4%          3.3%
OS/2         3.0%           0.8%          1.2%
Other        3.0%           2.7%          1.4%      


According to this, by 2001 Microsoft will control 91.8% of the OS 
market and Linux will be the official opposition.
