Hokkaido gets *pleasantly* warm in the summer. Unfortunately, Oshamanbe has its own peculiar climate, ranging from partly cloudy, chilly, and damp to cloudy, freezing, and damp. Shortly before getting married, I moved down here from Sapporo. Told my then-fiancee (a Hokkaido native) we would need a a dehumidifier ... she thought I was crazy.
