Probably ~/.Xclients, but possibly ~/.xinitrc -- and if you don't have either of those in your home directory, you should probably copy the system-wide ones (most likely somewhere in /etc or /usr/X11R6/lib/X11) to your home directory and then hack them to your heart's content.
