tlug: Prototype Word filter with Unicode support




The posting below relates to an earlier mention of Applixware-J
conversion needs.  Perhaps something can be gleaned from this
project or its members.

It may be of interest to this thread that the original poster will be
part of the team that brings you word2x 2.00 beta sometime. Hackers can
get the source by anonymous ftp from mars.astra.co.uk in teh pub/word2x
directory. w2x.tar.gz is the development source tree, minus only a couple
of directorities (nda and private). You can even wind the file back to
pre-0.001 alpha using rcs if you wish (mofulo files that have ceased to
exist).

The latest development word2x source tree does understand unicode but
various bits need updating and the binaries are very unstable at
present (possibly programm bugs aided by compiler bugs). If you wish to
help me get this fixed and make a release reality then email me for the
latest source tree. At present only developers should ask because it is not
exactly usable yet.
