This is kind of stupid, and it's my fault, so I'll warn you about it first. If you are running TurboLinux 1.0 on an all-SCSI system (ie, you boot from a SCSI partition and it requires the initrd support to load the scsi module to mount the root filesystem), and you want to do the TL 1.4J upgrade, make sure that you do a 'modprobe loop' right before running 'upgrade' from the CD, or the upgrader won't be able to recreate initrd, which will make your system non-bootable. (sigh) at least it's a simple fix. -------------------------------------------------- Scott M.
