Re: tlug: Emacs 20.2

Regarding Emacs 20.2 and input methods

Obviously, they are _not_ supported. :-P

The Mule mailing list contains some questions (dating to mid-October,
nothing recent) about how to use Wnn with Emacs 20.2 (and suggests
that the person in question had already been doing so). I didn't see
any answers though, and it's unclear to me whether Wnn was actually
working.

I'd suggest trying on comp.emacs or the Mule mailing list. (Subscribe
at mule-request@example.com, as I recall. Traffic is very low at the
moment. You can also request mule-jp, where traffic is higher, but in
Japanese. mule-jp gets all mule related traffic from that server.)

Or switch to XEmacs, which provides everything but Quail/Japanese
(including SKK, so Quail/Japanese is not much loss), although Quail in
XEmacs remains partly broken for several languages (I believe this is
true in FSF Emacs also), and cWnn and kWnn are unsupported as yet
although they apparently work (there are no testers and no
Chinese/Korean speakers among the developers.
