There are some instances when this procedure can be hazardous, but I
seriously doubt that Motif would be the case. Something like a gcc
update: might want to reconsider using "replacefiles" then. YMMV.

BTW, if you want to read more on using RPM, I have the ps file of
the book Maximum RPM. It probably doesn't have all the stuff that's
in the commercial version, but it has more than enough for me. If
anyone wants to have a copy, you can get it from:
