There are some instances when this procedure can be hazardous, but I seriously doubt that Motif would be the case. Something like a gcc update: might want to reconsider using "replacefiles" then. YMMV. BTW, if you want to read more on using RPM, I have the ps file of the book Maximum RPM. It probably doesn't have all the stuff that's in the commercial version, but it has more than enough for me. If anyone wants to have a copy, you can get it from: ftp://ozumo.clat.hi-tech.ac.jp/pub/MaximumRPM-free.a4.ps.gz FWIW, David Hachinohe Institute of Technology 88-1, Myo, Ohbiraki Hachinohe-shi Aomori-ken 031 http://w3.clat.hi-tech.ac.jp --------------------------------------------------------------- TLUG Meeting Dec. 13, 12:30 at Tokyo station Yaesu Chuo ticket gate 13:30 Starbuck's coffee. 13:45 HSBC | info: joem@example.com At least 3 functional Sparc IPC machines will be raffled out --------------------------------------------------------------- a word from the sponsor: TWICS - Japan's First Public-Access Internet System www.twics.com info@example.com Tel:03-3351-5977 Fax:03-3353-6096
