I compiled the 3.96 pine virgin source with no problems.  The patch went
on smoothly.

Edit ./pine/makefile.lnx

and ./pico/makefile.lnx

 change -lterminfo   to -lncurses

if your system does not have the terminfo libs.  Mine doesn't.

>From the command line,

  # ./build lnx


I'm having problems with compilation of pine with patches.  i'm getting
these error messages:

The readme.J has additional compilation hints.  just thought
I would share what i had at this point.
