When downloading, one way would be to just download the package or tgz file with XF86_SVGA. I tried this when I only had a phone connection to the internet and I remember that this works. It is about 1MB so if you are prepared it shouldn't be too much. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. But I remember doing this with XFree-3.2 SVGA on a system with XFree-3.1.2 installed.
