Here are some of mine: I looked. They appear to be the same. But what I thought was that if I had a problem with my fonts in my X server, that I would have a problem with other programs as well. I don't have a problem with any other program with the exception of Ghostscript and Ghostview. As I said with xdvi I can see the exact same file (.dvi) version perfectly. It is when it becomes postscript that I can not see Japanese with gs or gv. Also, I can print it out no problem, so the actual Postscript file is fine. The problem is localized to displaying a postscript file with Japanese on gs or gv on my X-server. Any ideas would be appreciated. > -------------------------- > > On a different note, it is kind of sad that PJE is still using > the older ghostscript. Is there a PJE package with a newer > gs? I wonder why they keep using the older one. Yes it is a shame. Although I thought this was a rather recent version since I had installed JE before and that was a much older version than this one.
