tlug: Pine iso-2022-jp and Emacs

Hi,
after a highly enjoyable philosophical discussion with Stephen
Turnbull on iso-2022-jp and why my $BF|K\8l$NEE;R%a!<%k(B is
$B2=$1J8;z(B I've decided to give it another try.

This is what I did.

In Pine:

# Reflects capabilities of the display you have. Default: US-ASCII.
# Typical alternatives include ISO-8859-x, (x is a number between 1 and 9).
character-set=ISO-2022-JP

In my .emacs

(setq kanji-flag t)
(setq kanji-process-code 1)

(cond ((boundp 'NEMACS) (setq kanji-display-code 3))
        ((boundp 'MULE) (set-display-coding-system *euc-japan*)))

(cond ((boundp 'NEMACS) (setq kanji-fileio-code 3))
        ((boundp 'MULE) (set-default-file-coding-system *iso-2022-jp*)))

(cond ((boundp 'NEMACS) (setq kanji-input-code 3))
        ((boundp 'MULE) (set-keyboard-coding-system *euc-japan*)))

Here is some more $BF|K\8l(B
