Intel is not believing that anybody need and not supporting properly more
than 64Mb on common chipsets. At least your 128 Mb would not be mapped to
cache. Try to disable external cache in BIOS and see what will happen.
What chipset you are using? 
I think, your computer is Pentium based, right? Cache is 256k, not 512? -
Probably you are out of luck.
