Hi, 久しぶり です Although I haven't been to Japan for a long time, I guess that you can probably get one or two of the smart plugs that are supported by zigbee2mqtt. There is a list of suported devices at https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/ I have a wifi smart plug that I could flash with tasmota (the new version of the model can no longer be flashed, which is the problem with those Wifi plugs) and a Xiaomi Zigbee smartplug. Both can measure power consumption and are integrated in my smarthome solution via MQTT. The advantage of Zigbee is that a standard conform device should be easier to get supported by zigbee2mqtt than a Wifi device to be supported by tasmota. >>>>> "Christian" == Christian Horn <chorn@example.com> writes: Christian> On Sun, Mar 13, 2022 at 05:35:06PM +0900, Jim Tittsler Christian> wrote: >> I haven't tried it, but it looks like someone has >> reverse-engineered the cheap Wemo Insight smart plug that I >> have enough to be able to poll it each minute and applied it to >> monitoring his computer's power consumption among other things. >> https://chameth.com/monitoring-power-with-wemo/ Christian> That did lead to something.. there is Christian> https://github.com/arendst/Tasmota as open firmware for Christian> a wide range of smart plugs.
