[tlug] voice assistant projects

Hi tlug,

I moved to a new flat on Sunday.
The old one was rented including a TV, I left it there and do not
plan to buy a new one.

Yet, for hearing news, weather forecast, getting music played I 
am considering one of the voice assistants.

The one from Apple is no option for me as beeing tied to Apple 
hardware, so the Amazon one, the Google one, and selfbuild pro-
jects are remaining.

The Amazon and Google one are probably most capable, but one gives
away whatever is received to Amazon/Google, I feel uncomfortable 
about this.
Has someone looked deeper into self-build voice controlled 
assistants, based on Linux?
