I really don't like the idea of having a forum. I won't join it, no
time, they require a lot of work to maintain and get full of trolls
and garbage in no time.
The current mailing list worked perfectly fine for more than 20 years,
allowing us to organise meetings and discussions for hundred of people
during all this time, so why to change it?
I prefer the current mailing list.
