Have you looked at the commercial side of their project called "Aloha"? Are they offering something closer to what you're looking for? Just wondering.

Probably proprietary companies like "PepLink" are implementing what you're looking for on top of open-source bases like this one. Please tell me, if I understand correctly, this is more like what you're looking for:
