Which advantages do they provide over KVM or docker?
I heard Amazon also continues to use xen.  Would be interesting to
know if this is due to technical features, or just because other
technical solutions would require users to migrate to other images.

More that its not taking off because there are still issues, and its
not improving because its not widely used.
