[and codelite] I think this is related to this: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=645993 I.e. GTK3 does not work with xim. I do indeed have GTK_IM_MODULE=xim (y understanding is that ibus can do without xim, but fcitx cannot... so it may be good that I have not tried switching yet.)
