NHK world[1] has most of the NHK programs translated in english, with
real-time translation of all the press coferences help by Kan and
Edano, Tepco, the Nuclear Safety Agency and the Meteorological agency.
Without the scary extrapolations of foreign TVs, and their
approximative comments by incompetent journalists (I saw journalists
on french TV talking about "a tsunami in Nagano", "hydrogen rods", and
"panicked crowds walking in Tokyo streets").

Tepco has a very has a very bad history of dissimulation and
unreported nuclear incidents, so to be fair we can't exclude the
posibility that there is more than what they report to citizens or the
government. But geigers don't lie.

By the way, have you also been thinking about "Nihon Chinbotsu"[2]
recently?
