[tlug] Keypresses stop appearing in terminal window

- Subject: [tlug] Keypresses stop appearing in terminal window
- User-agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101208 Thunderbird/3.1.7
As the subject says, at some point (*) in an ssh session what I'm typing
does not appear on screen. The commands I type still work.
Anyone any idea how I get my keypresses to appear again ("reset" does
not change anything), or even better what the cause might be? Currently
my only solution is to exit and login again.
TIA,
Darren
*: I think the trigger might be pressing ctrl-c to break out of a tail
-f command. I've only noticed it on one machine (running cygwin), and
I'm fairly sure the problem only started in the last week or two. I
don't administer the remote machine, but I'm fairly sure nothing has
been upgraded on it.
I'm using gnome-terminal on my side.
