TLUG, So now I'm stuck. Somehow in the process of trying clear out the unneeded software, I got rid of too much, and now the Mythbuntu computer that was having trouble before no longer connects to the LAN or to the internet at all. The biggest hurdle now is that since I can't connect to the internet, I can't re-aquire what I might have lost with apt-get or Synaptic or anything. My /etc/network/interfaces file is still there with the right information (I use a static IP, not DHCP), and I think that the network card drivers are probably still there, but I can't get the network to get going from the command line. I tried: sudo ifconfig eth0 up ... but it said this back to me: eth0: ERROR while getting interface flags: no such device ... so, any idea how I might get network connectivity? Any tips would be much appreciated. -- Dave M G
