Stephen, have you tried ibus?  (Sigh, too much Apple around, I want to
write iBus).  

I'd be curious as to what most people think.  IMHO, I've found that I
prefer ibus.  It seems to use less resources and the interface seems a
bit nicer--not easier, it's pretty much the same, just a little nicer
somewhow.
