It looks from that link that the ht-03a is a qualifying handset and
with purchase you can get a 50% (ひとりでも) discount to bring the monthly
voice plan to the exact same 980 that softbank offers.


Yes, that's what I ended up getting. The catch is that you get
two year contracts (auto renewal), and you have to pay 10,000
if you leave at any time except the first month after renewal.
