I don't know if you need to buy your android phone from a Japanese
carrier, but the the second generation Google phone, the Dream G2 is
available on eBay from a company in Hong Kong, unlocked for US$130. I
was thinking of getting one myself. Japanese cell phone networks use
GSM, yeah?
