Sounds fun.

I am leaning towards getting sim-free handset from someplace off the
internet to reduce my charges by picking up a sim-card for the US
when I travel there. That means likely using a softbank prepaid card
and wi-fi when I can find it -- perhaps through subscription.

For Japanese input, I'd like to get edict onto the sd card and do
conversion locally via simeji. I don't have Simeji src but the
developer seems interested. Nothing definite, and no time lines

Mostly I want the phone to control Lego robots via bluetooth but the
Android bluetooth api isn't ready yet so I have to wait for that
anyway.

On the other hand, perhaps I'll go with DoCoMo since my current
handset is in really bad shape.
