I'm not sure that I was clear: are you saying that you can install both Gnome and KDE on a single Fedora system, and chose which one you'd like to use at login? I've not tried that, but I have installed fvwm on my Fedora 10, and, unlike Ubuntu, at login I am not given the option to just run my .xsession file followed by fvwm, instead of starting gnome-session. > ... --but was this the case on more than one installation? Well, one consultant working for us went to the trouble of doing a full Fedora install onto a USB drive, so he could bring it in and run it on one of our machines and have his preferred environment on days when he didn't bring in his laptop. I asked him why he just didn't use one of our Ubuntu systems, and he said he wanted to use KDE. That rather implies he didn't know that on an Ubuntu system you simply install KDE and chose that at login instead of Gnome. cjs -- Curt Sampson <cjs@example.com> +81 90 7737 2974 Functional programming in all senses of the word: http://www.starling-software.com
