[tlug] Job Posting

Right. So this is going to come out as an entirely transparent attempt
to get a job posting on to the TLUG list. And if it works out that way
(I mean, as a job posting, not as transparent), that doesn't bother me a
bit. :-)

More seriously, I think that some folks in the TLUG membership might be
able to provide me with, as well as flames, some useful advice.

So, being in the market for a genius developer or two who are willing to
work for wages considerably higher than you'd make at 7-Eleven, and even
higher than Nova employees are currently making, I've sorta revamped*
our web site's employment page. A related page, and where I'm really
looking for feedback, is our "Interview Process" page:

    http://www.starling-software.com/en/employment/interview-process

the response I'm hoping to elicit from potential employees is summarized
in the following matrix:

                            | Programming Skills
                            | --------------------
                            | Bad Good
    ------------------------+---------------------
Frightened of Starling | Yes No

So thoughts? Is this going to frighten away the good guys, too,
particularly inexperienced but smart people? Are the sample programs we
ask for too hard? Too easy? The wrong sort of problem? (This particular
sort of request for sample programs is something I've not tried before.)
What about the process in general; is this something that job-seekers
would, or at least should, feel comfortable with? Are there some good
ideas out there that I should be adding to this?

Thanks for your advice.

* Looking at this, I realize that "revamped" must be one of those
words generated by the Department of Redundancy Department. Ah, well,
irregardless....
