Yeah, that's one of the recent "improvements" (sic) that happened as a 
result of Google tinkering with Gmail and adding a lot of unnecessary 
"features" to the "look and feel" (am I the only person in the world who 
thinks the person who coined that phrase should be killed in the most 
painful manner possible?) of the Gmail interface.  I caught it after one 
post, but others might not be as fortunate.  I understand is didn't 
affect all accounts but Gmail users may want to visit their settings 
page soon.
